During a tour of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, one can’t help but notice the effect that technology has on the hospital. In one waiting area a teen communicates with friends via text messaging while waiting for her appointment. In another room, a parent uses CHEO’s wireless network to turn his laptop computer into a bedside office, allowing him to keep up with work while staying by his son’s side.
