Looking for a great family friendly event? Excited to get on your bike and ride for a special cause? We have just what you need. On Sunday, May 7 the CN Cycle for CHEO event is just what you’re hoping for! With biking and walking routes for all abilities and on-site activities for the kids, there’s something for everyone. And never forget, your participation will be helping oncology patients at CHEO.
Choose from the Ericsson 70K Cycle, Coughlin and Associates 35K Cycle, Esso 15K Cycle, CIRA 5K Walk or the Sporting Life 2K Walk. You’ll have a unique opportunity to cycle through downtown Ottawa on fully-supported routes closed to vehicle traffic or take a leisurely walk along the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway.
All events begin and end at the Canadian War Museum with post-event activities taking place on the adjacent grounds at LeBreton Flats. Each registered participant will receive a numbered bib which is your ticket to enjoy complimentary food and beverages, children’s activities and entertainment.
By signing up today you can save on fees. New this year, fees will increase on April 15, so register early to avoid paying more. Better yet, fundraise and pay no registration fee at all. By fundraising you will also have a chance to win airline tickets from WestJet.
Best of all, your support will help CHEO’s patients. Every year three oncology patients are chosen to be members of the McDonald’s Dream Team and represent all of the kids who are undergoing cancer treatment at CHEO. Katie, Jonah and Kwayza are excited to be the 2017 McDonald’s Dream Team and are leading the way at this year’s event.
Participate or volunteer on Sunday, May 7 to support oncology care and research. For complete CN Cycle for CHEO details please visit www.cncycle.ca.
