Hospital Foundation is proud to offer you Telethon t-shirts, full zip hooded sweatshirts, crew neck sweatshirts, golf shirts, baseball caps and a teddy bear The 2013 shirts are royal blue with an exclusive full colour design. T-shirts adult sizes $15, child sizes $10, full zip hooded sweatshirts for men and women $40, sweatshirts adult sizes $30, and golf shirts are $35 baseball caps $12, plush CHEO bear $15. Kanata Cruise In For CHEO

Kanata Cruise Night is back for the 16th year at the Hazeldean Mall (300 Eagleson Road, Kanata). Come out and see the Classic Cars, Hot Rods and Antiques on Tuesday evenings starting on May 7 to September 17. Proceeds from the weekly raffle will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Le Buffet des Continents
Gift Certificates

Le Buffet des Continents (4 Gare Talon, Gatineau) is selling gift certificates for $20 each which are redeemable for food and beverages at their establishment. Le Buffet des Continents will donate half of the proceeds from the gift certificates to the CHEO Telethon on June 8 and 9.

Radiothon with Today’s Best Country Y101

Tune into Y101.1 FM for their 15th annual Country Cares Challenge to learn about some of the children who visit CHEO. On Thursday, June 6, Y101 will broadcast LIVE from the CHEO cafeteria and share the stories of brave patients, caring hospital staff and families just like yours. Help Y101 make a difference in the lives of sick children at CHEO, by calling the Papa Jack Popcorn phone line during the Radiothon or by making an online donation powered by Rideau Auctions at Y101.fm.

21st Annual CHEO BBQ
Potvin Arena

The 21st Annual CHEO BBQ will be held on Saturday, June 8, at the Potvin Arena, 813 Shefford Road in Gloucester from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Entertainment includes, a beach volleyball tournament and ultimate/frisbee tournament, plus a new 5km family walk around the streets surrounding the park presented by RBC. Other festivities include the Wireless Amber Alerts Family Zone, Bytown Catering barbecue pit, and lots more. Proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

13th Annual Primo for CHEO Fundraiser
Greenfield's Pub and Eatery

Lou DiMillo and his son Anthony will be hosting their 13th annual “Primo for CHEO” fundraiser on Saturday, June 8th at Greenfields Pub and Eatery, Barrhaven Mall (900 Greenbank). The event is from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. with raffles, prizes, auctions, entertainment from some of Ottawa’s finest musicians and lots more. Donations will be accepted and will be presented during the CHEO Telethon on June 8 and 9.

2013 CHEO Telehon

30th Annual CHEO Telethon on CTV will air 7 p.m. Saturday, to 7 p.m. Sunday, It’s a 24 hour celebration of all things CHEO that includes stories and interviews with doctors, nurses, staff and most importantly the children and youth who rely on CHEO. We hope you’ll tune in and show CHEO’s kids how much this community cares.

Black Belt Excellence Martial Arts Academy
Taekwon-Do

The Black Belt Excellence Martial Arts Academy will be hosting a board break-a-thon on Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 62 Stonehaven Drive, Kanata. Students of all ages will have the opportunity to show their confidence, power and skills. Funds raised from the board break-a-thon for CHEO will go towards the CHEO Telethon, June 8th and 9th.

Walmart Walk for Miracles

Now in 12 cities across Canada, the Walmart Walk for Miracles is Sunday, June 9. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The 1 km and 5 km walks begin at 10 a.m. at Confederation Park at Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue West. Snacks, drinks and celebration will be held at 11 a.m. All funds raised locally by participants will benefit CHEO.

Goal 1 - Each boxer will be throwing 2000+ punches in only 60 minutes!

Goal 2 - Raise money for CHEO! Our Team raised $25,000 for the CHEO Foundation in 2012 during this event!

Goal 3 - Play a large part in the 2013 CHEO Telethon.

St-Albert Optimist Club 15 km Walk Against Childhood Cancer
Community Centre in St-Albert

The Club Optimiste St-Albert invites you to their Walk-a-Thon in support of the oncology Department at CHEO on Saturday, June 15. Walk begins at 8 a.m. at the Community Centre in St-Albert and will take you through the Cheese Factory, towards Crysler up to the Firehall back by County Road 13 and back to the start. There will be a BBQ after the Walk-a-thon at Community Centre in St-Albert.

The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival

The Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival is an annual three-day festival held at Mooney’s Bay Park from Friday June 20 to Sunday, June 23. Enjoy free admission to the races, live entertainment, children’s area activities and various on-site vendors and exhibitor. All funds raised will benefit, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Bruyère Continuing Care, Arts Smarts, Ottawa Humane Society, University of Ottawa Institure of Mental Health Research, and the Debra Dynes Family House.

The 7th Annual Moore Wrinn Financial Group Charity Golf Tournament
Upper Canada Golf and Country Club

The 7th Annual Moore Wrinn Financial Group Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, June 21 at the Upper Canada Golf and Country Club (east of Morrisburg). The entry fee is $500 per foursome and includes cart, dinner and prizes. Shotgun starts at 11:45 a.m. Proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Teddy Bears' Picnic
Rideau Hall

Every teddy bear who’s been good is sure of a treat at the 30th Annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic on Saturday, June 22 at Rideau Hall, the Governor General’s Residence. The day will kick off at 8 a.m. with a Celebrity Pancake breakfast. Breakfast is $3 for adults and $2 for children. The day will feature continuous stage entertainment, rides, games, and the B*A*S*H* (Bear Ambulatory Surgical Hospital) tent. Build-A-Buddy is an activity where you make your own bear including stuffing, dressing and naming it for a fee of $15. Admission to the Picnic is FREE. CHEO and the Foundation want to say thank you to a supportive community.

PLEASE NOTE: There is no parking on site. A shuttle service is available from the NRC from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Last shuttle bus from the NRC leaves at 2:15 p.m. and the last shuttle bus leaving from Rideau Hall is at 3:15 p.m.

Clutter & Cupcakes for CHEO
St. Gregory’s School

The second Clutter & Cupcakes for CHEO event is taking place June 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Gregory’s School in Nepean (Meadowlands Drive near Woodroffe Avenue). Shop til you drop, sell your stuff and purchase (okay, sample too) some yummy cupcakes. Over 20 local bakeries have donated their sweets, equaling about 1000 items! Check out unique flavours from the Flour Shoppe, Sophie Bifield Cake Company, Little Cakes, Sarah J’s Cupcakes, The Cake Whisperer, Urban Baking Co., Hearty Bakery and more!
You can still book your own table to sell clutter and/or crafts! It only requires a minimum $10 donation. Email clutterandcupcakes@gmail.com to help out. You can also donate your clutter so it can be sold for charity! Proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Hike for CHEO
Hellenic Community Centre

The Hellenic (Greek) Community of Ottawa invites you to their 22nd annual family walkathon in support of CHEO on the morning of Sunday, September 22nd. Join in the fun!... beginning at the Hellenic Meeting & Reception Centre (1315 Prince of Wales Drive in Ottawa), your choice of the 4km or 10km route will take you along the scenic Colonel By Drive on the Rideau Canal pathways, and back to the original start. Checkpoint refreshment stations along the route and safety vehicles monitor the route. After-Party: enjoy free music, face painting & a generous give-away prize draw for participants; BBQ at a minimum cost “for CHEO.

Sears Great Canadian Run

Join the Sears Great Canadian Run on October 5, in support of kids with cancer. The start line will begin at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and will end in Montebello. The run is a 60K or 100K. Every teammate must raise a minimum of $500.00 to participate in the run. Proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
