A bequest is a gift specified in a Will of either a certain amount of money, a percentage of the estate, a particular asset or the residual of the estate.
Leaving a bequest to CHEO in your Will starts with speaking with your lawyer or financial planner and letting them know your wishes.
The CHEO Foundation encourages those who have made bequests in their Will for CHEO, to notify the Foundation. Your bequest will be kept in the strictest of confidence, but will allow your gift to be properly recognized during in your lifetime and ensure that your gift is designated in accordance with your wishes.
