A CHEO endowment fund is a wonderful way to remember and honour someone who is no longer living. Many funds created at CHEO are in memory of a former patient or member of the community and are named after that individual.
An Endowment Fund is a permanent fund that you create which provides a reliable source of funding for CHEO and will keep on giving for generations to come. You can establish an endowment fund with a minimum contribution of $10,000 and can continue to make contributions to your fund at any time.
You can choose to either specify the use of your fund’s interest to a certain department or program or to have an unrestricted fund which allows the interest to be directed where it is most needed. Whether your fund is directed to cardiology, oncology, psychiatry, research, or general purposes you will be creating a legacy that will live on.
