This weekend, the Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids will focus on helping CHEO’s tiniest patients. It will take place over two days at the prestigious Rideau View Golf Club in Manotick. Funds raised will remain in our community, purchasing a neonatal transport incubator to ensure complete life support for the most fragile patients while in transit to CHEO. The cost for one of these units is $400,000. Last year, 530 infants were transported using one of two ageing units. The demand will only continue to increase each year.
Media are invited to Rideau View Golf Club for an opportunity to watch the golf clinic hosted by Mike Weir and to ask him questions during a scrum prior to the start of the Champions’ Tournament.
