Crush Improv will be hosting their annual fundraiser to help raise awareness and money for CHEO’s Rheumatology Clinic. Aside from the opportunity to watch Ottawa born – and Canadian Comedy Award winning – Crush Improv, guests will also have an opportunity to win some amazing prizes thanks to our auction and raffle.
Many people think that arthritis is something only old people get. Children and teenagers get a type of arthritis called juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), which can be incredibly painful and if not treated properly can lead to permanent joint damage. Currently, one in 1000 Canadian children under the age of 16 suffer from this disease for which there is no cure. Over the last several years incredible advancements have been made in treating children with the disease and we hope to help out by raising money to support these efforts and specifically CHEO’s Rheumatology Clinic.
The event will be held at the historic Mill Street Brew Pub at 555 Wellington Street in downtown Ottawa, on the banks of the Ottawa River in one of the city’s oldest and most beautiful buildings. The show will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will feature Crush cast: Des Connors-Warmington, Tim Anderson, Kristine Shadid, Al Connors, Dan Lajoie, Jordan Moffat and the musical talents of Glen Gower. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased online or at the door. Past events have sold out, so you might want to buy your tickets in advance.
Can’t make it but want to help out? No worries! There is a donation option as well!
All proceeds from the show will go to CHEO’s Rheumatology Clinic.
