Volunteer Opportunities at the CHEO Foundation
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the CHEO Foundation!
One of the ways in which we make the best use of donations received is by harnessing the power of volunteers. Their various expertise and life experiences help ensure the success of our fundraising events.
Of note, all new volunteers are asked to submit a Criminal Records Check or Police Records Check from their local police force. (Information on the Criminal Records Check or Police Record Check as well as a downloadable form can be found at the bottom of the page).
Here are some of the volunteer opportunities available at the CHEO Foundation:
Kid’s Marathon Volunteer (volunteer positions available soon!)
May 28, 2017
You will be responsible for keeping the kids moving down the roadway towards the water/Gatorade table towards the Laurier Bridge where volunteers will hand out medals. Once they receive their medals kids are to move to the backdrop to get a finish line photo taken and then the Recovery Tent inside Confederation Park for light refreshments. Once they exit their tent, each child is to be directed to a structure that has a sample of their race bib. Each child is to go to the bib color that matches their bib. This is where their parents will meet them.
Parking: There is limited parking at City Hall. We strongly recommend that you carpool or get dropped off several blocks away and walk to City Hall.
Please note: We will hold a short, mandatory orientation session before the event (time and location to be determined).
