The Wonderland Tea Party event will raise money to brighten décor and help CHEO reinstate provide urgently needed mental health inpatient beds for children aged 12 and under. Patients can be as young as six years of age. We know that early intervention can help change future outcomes and lead to a healthier adolescence and adulthood. Having dedicated beds for younger children is part of the solution.
Currently, CHEO has 19 mental health inpatient beds and six inpatient beds dedicated to the eating disorder program. Young children who are experiencing severe mental health problems require additional resources and CHEO needs your support to ensure that children have access to inpatient mental health services.
