Join in this great event on the Ottawa River in Petawawa and help to make a difference for the kids of CHEO.
In 2010, Stand Up for CHEO (SUFC) started as a personal challenge for two friends, Mathew Hinther and Duncan Keith, who paddled 150 kilometers over three days on their stand up paddle boards. The event’s goals were to promote and grow the sport of stand up paddling while raising funds for CHEO. An outstanding effort with over $100,000 was raised for CHEO.
In 2017 SUFC decided to close shop after having met their original goals, however the spirit lives on in a new event entitled Paddle for CHEO (PFC). Paddle for CHEO is open to stand up paddles, canoes and kayaks as they bring together this great water community to raise funds for CHEO. Donations help the hospital provide a wide variety of programs to patients.
