RBC Race for the Kids is this Sunday, September 24. Participants are going further for youth mental health at CHEO!

OTTAWA – 09/22/2017 – This Sunday morning the grounds at beautiful Wesley Clover Parks will be filled with runners, joggers and walkers participating in Ottawa’s first ever RBC Race for the Kids. Participants of all ages and abilities will be taking part in one of three routes including timed 5K and 10K races, as well as a 2K Family Fun Run.

Registered participants have been collecting pledges prior to event day with proceeds benefitting youth mental health programs at CHEO.

This new event is part of RBC’s global race series which aims to raise funds in support of local programs that contribute to the well-being of youth. Since its launch in 2008, RBC Race for the Kids has raised in excess of $27.9 million for children and youth charities around the globe. With the addition of Ottawa, the event now takes place in 15 cities in eight different countries.

It is going to be a great morning filled with music, activities, food and fun for the whole family. It’s not too late to participate. Online registration is closed but you can register at the event. Please arrive an hour before the start time listed below for your preferred route. Timed chipped bibs may not be available on Sunday.
